What lead you to realise you wanted to be a writer? And when did it occur?

Rhea: I was about eight or nine and had just discovered Cornelia Funke’s books. She writes such magical worlds that whisk you away and make you never want to leave. I wanted to do that. As far as I remember it’s the only job I ever wanted as a kid. 💜

What is your favourite part of being an writer?

Rhea Falling in love with my BrainBabes. It always happens and it’s my favourite thing ever. Maybe it’s sad because they are parts of me, but it’s also healing and makes me so happy. And supporting my family with my unhinged ideas. 😉

What was the most surprising lesson or self-realisation you encountered while writing your books?

Rhea: That I can do this. For the longest time I believed I wasn’t creative enough to write an entire book. But I did, and then I did it again, and again, and it’s like a muscle. The more I train it the more ideas I get. It’s a pretty great thing to find out about yourself.

Which authors, if any, do you draw inspiration from? And why?

Rhea: I’ve been writing obsessively (so little time, so many stories to tell!) so I don’t have the mental space to read much, but I think every author I meet or read, influences and inspires me somehow. My colleagues rock!

What is your favourite moment from any of your books?

Rhea: That’s unfair 😂 you might as well ask me who my favourite child is. The first kiss in Howling Hearts & Printer Parts is pretty high up on my list, but I have these moments in all my books!

Out of the available stickers in Sticker Drop 03, which is your favourite?

Rhea: I adore them all, but as a smut writer I’ll have to go with "D". 😏
