From the author who writes monsters that make us swoon, and has given us great works like Leviathan Fitness and Creepy Court: A Monster Mall Anthology, we're thrilled to welcome Ashley Bennett!

Ashley Bennett is an avid reader and lover of monsters, sweet characters, and spicy romance. She started her author journey in 2021 with her co-authored sweet omegaverse debut, "Vera and the Vegas V." She loves coffee, candles, fall weather, mid-century modern furniture, and a good alien romance (complete with fancy peens).

You can find their books on kindle unlimited or check out their patreon for artwork, advanced access to cover reveals, snippets, chapters, and merch.

What lead you to realise you wanted to be a writer? And when did it occur?

ASHLEY: I have been reading and writing since I was a child, losing myself in stories and making up my own fantasy worlds. In my senior year of high school, I won an award for outstanding academic achievement in English (for literary analysis, writing, etc.) and it made me realize that maybe writing was something I could do as more than just a hobby. During the pandemic, I started binge reading independently published books in KU. I figured I would give it a try and I have been loving it ever since.

What is your favourite part of being an writer?

ASHLEY My favorite part is having readers identify with characters or scenarios in my books. Everyone deserves to feel represented in romance, and there's no achievement than knowing I made someone feel that way through my writing.

What was the most surprising lesson or self-realisation you encountered while writing your books?

ASHLEY: Ha, there have been so many. The biggest is not to compare myself with others. I don't do well with pressure or timelines and I'm a slow writer, which is totally okay. This isn't a competition. We're all doing what works best for us.

Which authors, if any, do you draw inspiration from? And why?

ASHLEY: Sierra Simone writes some of the most amazing sex scenes I've ever read and I would love to be on her level one day. It's so sexy and raw, yet poetic. It inspires me to continue improving my craft.

What is your favourite moment from any of your books?

ASHLEY: My favorite is Al surprising Pam so he can fly with her on the plane back to Colorado. She has a fear of flying and I just think it's so over the top and romantic. I'm particularly attached to them because it's a story about finding the type of love you deserve.

Out of the available stickers in Sticker Drop 02, which is your favourite?

ASHLEY: The tentacle around the cock, obviously.
